About the Course
Course Format
- Duration: The course is conducted over two 8.5-hour days, with a lunch break each day.
- Exam: At the end of the second day, students will take a 2.5-hour exam. It is open note and open book.
- Passing Criteria: To pass, students must score 74% or higher, which requires answering at least 37 out of 50 questions correctly.

1. Enrollment and Payment
Your enrollment in the course is only reserved once payment is received. Registrations will be finalized upon receipt of payment.
2. Payment
Course registration can be purchased directly from the website using the payment methods listed below. If an invoice is required, please complete the registration form here. You will receive an invoice after submitting your registration.
3. Class Materials
The textbook and welcome packet will be shipped to the provided address approximately two weeks before the scheduled class. Attendees are advised to complete the study guide and practice math problems before attending to ensure success.
4. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your enrollment, you must do so at least 5 business days prior to the course start date. A refund will be issued, minus $130 for the cost of class materials.
5. Transfer to a Different Date
You may transfer your enrollment to a different course date, provided there are available spots and you give more than 5 business days' notice.
6. Missed Classes / No Show Policy
Attendance is mandatory for all sessions. No accommodations will be made for missed classes or no-shows. You are responsible for attending the course on both days as scheduled.
7. Identification Requirement
All students must present a valid government-issued ID (passport, driver’s license, or state ID card) on the test day for verification.
8. Enrollment Transfer
You may transfer your enrollment to another student if you provide more than 5 business days' notice.

10. Exam Format
The exam is open book and open notes, with a generous 2.5-hour time limit. It will take place in the afternoon on the second day of class. The test consists of 50 questions, and a passing score is 37 out of 50. Students who do not pass may attend a retake exam for a fee of $75.
11. Certification
Students who achieve a passing grade of 74% or higher will receive their Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificates from the PHTA, valid for five years.
